THE HAGUE – Aruba Governor His Excellency Alfonso Boekhoudt concluded his official working visit to The Hague with two high-level institutional meetings: one with the Chapter of the Civil Orders and another with the President of the Dutch House of Representatives.

According to Governor Boekhoudt, the meetings provided an important opportunity to exchange views on the institutions that uphold public service, constitutional governance and the traditions that continue to strengthen the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

In a message shared on his official social media account, the Governor expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality he received during his stay in the Netherlands, as well as for the open and constructive discussions held throughout the week. He emphasized that meaningful dialogue and strong institutional relationships remain essential for advancing shared interests and reinforcing cooperation within the Kingdom.

The Chapter of the Civil Orders advises the Dutch monarch on royal honours and decorations, while the President of the House of Representatives plays a central role in the functioning of the Dutch parliamentary system. Meetings such as these help maintain close cooperation between Aruba and the Kingdom's key constitutional institutions.

Throughout his working visit, Governor Boekhoudt also met with several Dutch government officials and representatives of Kingdom institutions to discuss developments in Aruba and matters of mutual interest. His final meetings marked the conclusion of a visit focused on strengthening institutional ties, constitutional cooperation and continued dialogue within the Kingdom.
