THE HAGUE — The Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK) is providing €50,000 to establish the new Knowledge Centre for Kingdom Relations, aimed at strengthening knowledge and cooperation throughout the Dutch Kingdom.

The initial funding will help expand a network connecting researchers, policymakers and institutions, particularly across the six Caribbean islands.

According to BZK official Barbera Wolfensberger, independent research should improve understanding of the Kingdom's history, social developments and political and administrative relationships.

Project leader Wouter Veenendaal hopes the contribution will encourage other institutions to provide financial support and ensure participation from across the Kingdom.
