ORANJESTAD — Aruban pitcher Antwone Kelly completed his first Major League Baseball season with eight relief appearances for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The 23-year-old debuted on June 12, becoming the seventh player from Aruba to reach the major leagues.

Kelly finished with a 4.82 ERA and 14 strikeouts in 18⅔ innings, recording no wins or losses. After several returns to Triple-A Indianapolis, he remained on the Pirates’ roster from September 10 through the end of the season.

In Triple-A, he recorded five wins and six losses with a 4.24 ERA. Pittsburgh Baseball Now ranks Kelly as the Pirates’ No. 21 prospect. His fastball can reach 100 mph, but the analysis says he needs to refine his pitches to establish himself in MLB.
