Carnival Vista calling at Aruba drops some Platinum perks
ORANJESTAD — Platinum guests sailing on Carnival Vista, which includes Aruba on its Southern Caribbean itinerary, are facing a temporary reduction in several loyalty benefits. For the September 5, 2026 sailing, Carnival Cruise Line said it would not provide priority embarkation and debarkation, early stateroom access or priority luggage delivery because of the unusually high number of Platinum guests onboard.
Carnival Vista departed Port Canaveral on an eight-night cruise calling at Aruba, Curaçao and Celebration Key. The suspension also affects priority debarkation at ports of call, meaning Platinum guests will not receive their usual priority when going ashore in Aruba.
The change does not cancel Platinum status itself. Carnival says the issue is that there are too many high-status guests on these specific sailings to provide all of the usual priority services.
For Aruba, the most practical consequence is that some passengers may take longer to disembark, especially those with independently booked tours or activities. Travelers are being advised to allow extra time before scheduled excursions on the island.
