Ombudsman visits neighborhoods to handle residents’ complaints

ORANJESTAD – Aruba Ombudsman Jurima Bryson is launching the “Ombudsman in the neighborhood” campaign to bring the office’s services closer to the community and give residents the opportunity to file complaints directly and receive independent information and advice.

During the visits, staff from the Office of the Ombudsman will speak with residents, listen to their concerns and explain what support is available when someone has a complaint about an institution covered by law.

The schedule is:

• MFA Paradera – August 13, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

• MFA Savaneta – August 20, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

• MFA Noord – August 27, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

• MFA Santa Cruz – September 3, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

• AEDA San Nicolas – September 10, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

Residents who want to file a complaint are asked to bring all relevant documents.

With the campaign, the Ombudsman aims to make the service more visible and accessible and strengthen trust between the community and public institutions.
