Aruba Tax office allows early authorization for online tax filing assistance

ORANJESTAD – Aruba's Tax Department has announced that taxpayers can now authorize a trusted person, accountant or tax adviser through the BOi portal to assist with their upcoming online income tax return, even before the official filing forms become available in November.

The new feature allows taxpayers to grant advance access to their income tax file, making it easier to prepare returns once the filing season begins.

Authorities stressed that only trusted individuals should be authorized and reminded users never to share their BOi username or password, as these credentials are strictly personal.

Through the portal, taxpayers can choose exactly which tax services another person may access and revoke that authorization at any time.

The move is part of Aruba's ongoing digitalization of tax services, replacing paper authorization forms with an online process. Residents who do not yet have a BOi account are encouraged to register before the filing season opens.
