New forum to unveil development plan for San Nicolas

ORANJESTAD – San Nicolas will host the first "Forum on the Future of San Nicolas" from August 11 to 13, bringing together the government, private sector, investors, civil society and residents to present a comprehensive vision and development plan for the city. The initiative is led by development economist Suzette Dumfries.

According to Dumfries, the forum is based on five years of independent research into San Nicolas' economic, social, cultural and institutional realities. The goal is to present a concrete development strategy and implementation framework rather than simply discussing revitalization.

The first phase will present the research findings, while a second forum, scheduled for August 20 to 22, will introduce a Regional Development Plan covering the economy, housing, culture, security, investment and social development.

Participation is free, but advance registration is required.
