CTO: Aruba ranks among Caribbean's fastest-growing cruise destinations
ORANJESTAD – Aruba has been ranked among the Caribbean's fastest-growing cruise destinations, according to new data from the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO).
During the first quarter of 2026, the island welcomed 376,442 cruise passengers, representing a 12.1% increase compared with the same period last year. The growth placed Aruba seventh among the Caribbean's top 10 fastest-growing cruise destinations.
Aruba also performed strongly in stayover tourism, receiving 427,343 overnight visitors between January and March, an 8.9% increase year-over-year. This made Aruba one of the region's strongest overall tourism performers.
The CTO report shows that cruise tourism continues to grow faster than stayover tourism across much of the Caribbean. Aruba was highlighted as one of the destinations achieving strong growth in both sectors, alongside Curaçao, the Dominican Republic and Dominica.
The ranking was led by the U.S. Virgin Islands (68%), followed by Puerto Rico (51.6%) and the British Virgin Islands (29.3%). Curaçao ranked fifth with 15.2% growth, while Aruba secured seventh place with a 12.1% increase.
