ATA: 143,000 tourists in June; cruise tourism also on the rise

ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) has released the results of its 2025 Cruise Tourism Survey alongside the island's tourism statistics for June 2026, highlighting continued growth in both the cruise and stayover sectors.

Based on 2,414 surveys, 81% of cruise passengers said Aruba's inclusion in their itinerary influenced their decision to book the cruise, up from 78% in 2024.

Visitor satisfaction also improved, with all 14 categories measured receiving higher ratings than the previous year. Beaches, safety and local hospitality earned the highest scores. Cruise visitors spent an average of US$197 per person during their stop, with excursions, local crafts, food and beverages accounting for most spending.

June 2026 stayover tourism

Aruba welcomed 143,343 stayover visitors in June 2026, generating 912,256 visitor nights and an average length of stay of 6.4 nights.

North America remained Aruba's largest market, accounting for 73.6% of arrivals, followed by South America (20.3%), Europe (3.5%) and other regions (2.5%).

The United States led all individual markets with 102,224 visitors. Argentina recorded 11,682 visitors, marking a significant increase compared with June 2025, while the Netherlands remained Europe's leading source market with 2,755 visitors.

Generation X represented the largest visitor group (26.8%), followed by Millennials (25.4%), Generation Z (20.8%) and Baby Boomers (18.8%).
