Government launches National Day to Care for Aruba

ORANJESTAD – The Government of Aruba has officially launched the "National Day to Care for Aruba," a nationwide campaign aimed at strengthening shared responsibility for keeping the island clean. The initiative will culminate in a large island-wide cleanup on Saturday, July 25, involving residents, businesses, schools, organizations and community groups.

The campaign was announced by Prime Minister Mike Eman alongside Minister Wendrick Cicilia and representatives of Serlimar, CEDE Aruba, DOW and other partners. According to the government, the initiative builds on previous programs such as Baki den Bario and the permanent public waste collection sites.

Prime Minister Eman stressed that maintaining a clean Aruba is not solely the government's responsibility but a shared commitment of the entire community. He encouraged everyone to take part in the July 25 cleanup to help preserve a cleaner and more attractive island.

To support the effort, collection points will be available across Aruba, while Ecotech will accept waste free of charge at the permanent Barcadera collection site on the day of the campaign.

Under the slogan "For me. For you. For all of us.", the government is calling on the entire community to work together in caring for Aruba.
