ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Tourism Authority (A.T.A.) is continuing to strengthen its international campaign, "When You Love Aruba, It Loves You Back," launched in 2025 to promote a more responsible and sustainable approach to tourism. Throughout 2026, the strategy remains focused on protecting the island, respecting local culture and fostering a deeper connection between Aruba and its visitors. According to A.T.A. Chief Executive Officer Ronella Croes, the organization has shifted the way it communicates with international markets. Rather than simply promoting Aruba as a vacation destination, the campaign presents the island as a home that deserves to be cared for and protected.
MORE THAN A DESTINATION
"We are not simply selling a destination. We are inviting future guests to understand that Aruba is our home and that its natural beauty and cultural heritage deserve respect and protection," Croes said. To reinforce that message, A.T.A. produced a six-day audiovisual campaign across more than 50 locations throughout Aruba, featuring over 75 local participants. The production includes photography, video, local voice talent and an original soundtrack incorporating the island's natural sounds.
AN AUTHENTIC ARUBA EXPERIENCE
The campaign highlights Aruba's authentic character, including its relaxed pace of life, local cuisine, natural beauty and, above all, the hospitality of the Aruban people. Its central message is that visitors who treat Aruba with love and respect will receive the same in return. As part of the campaign, A.T.A. also produced a short film portraying the friendship between a young Aruban and a visitor, illustrating how sharing culture and protecting nature can create a truly memorable experience.
ENCOURAGING EVERY VISITOR
Through this initiative, A.T.A. aims not only to raise awareness but also to encourage every visitor to play an active role in preserving Aruba. The campaign's message remains simple: When you love Aruba, it loves you back.
