WILLEMSTAD — Representatives from Aruba, Curaçao, the Netherlands and other Dutch Caribbean islands met in Curaçao on October 1–2 to discuss establishing a new European Union platform.
The initiative aims to strengthen the Kingdom's position in Brussels and improve access to European funding for Overseas Countries and Territories (OCTs), including Aruba.
The proposed platform could help identify funding opportunities, share expertise and support training while respecting each country's autonomy.
The seven Kingdom partners will continue discussions to define the platform's activities and responsibilities.
