PARIS - Esteban Ocon will leave Formula 1 team Haas after the 2026 season. The American team has confirmed that the French driver’s contract will not be renewed after two years together.
The 30-year-old Ocon made his Formula 1 debut in 2016 and has raced for Renault, Alpine and Haas since 2020. His biggest success came in 2021, when he won the Hungarian Grand Prix. He has yet to score a podium with Haas.
This season, Ocon has collected only seven points from 15 grands prix, compared with 20 for teammate Oliver Bearman.
According to several media reports, Ocon’s seat is expected to go to 21-year-old Brazilian Rafael Câmara in 2027. Câmara won the Formula 3 championship last year and currently leads the Formula 2 standings. He also completed tests for Haas in Portugal in August, adding to expectations that he could join the team.
Ocon has stressed that leaving Haas does not mean the end of his Formula 1 career and says he remains motivated to find his next opportunity.
