Police seize large quantity of drugs and cash; two men arrested

ORANJESTAD – The Aruba Police Force’s Narcotics Unit has made another arrest in a drug investigation that has already resulted in the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana and cocaine, as well as a substantial amount of cash.

The investigation began on Wednesday, August 5, when the Narcotics Unit, working with the Organized Crime Unit (UGC), Coast Guard, Arrest Team and K-9 Unit, seized a large quantity of drugs at sea.

In connection with the case, police arrested E.R.G., born in Colombia, later that same evening and subsequently carried out a judicial search at a property in Seroe Blanco. During the operation, three undocumented persons were detained and handed over to Guarda Nos Costa.

The Narcotics Unit continued its investigation, and on Thursday, August 13, the Arrest Team detained R.R.A.M., born in Aruba, at a property on Johan de Wittstraat.

During a search of the property, the Narcotics Unit seized a substantial amount of cash. Police have not ruled out further arrests in the coming days.
