Dick Advocaat's Curaçao contract ends as FFK reviews his future

WILLEMSTAD – Dick Advocaat's contract as head coach of the Curaçao national team officially expired on July 31. The contracts of the other members of the technical and medical staff have also ended.

The Curaçao Football Federation, FFK, stressed that Advocaat has not been dismissed. His contract simply reached the end of its agreed term. However, the federation has not confirmed whether he will be offered a new deal.

Before making a decision, FFK plans a broader evaluation of the technical direction of Curaçao football. This will include preparations for the national teams, the development of players and coaches, and the country's long-term technical structure.

According to acting FFK president Fabi Constansia, the board will determine which technical setup best matches Curaçao's sporting ambitions.

FFK has not said how long the evaluation will take, whether talks with Advocaat about a new contract are underway or whether potential successors are being considered. The federation says it will provide an update once the process is completed.
