Aruba and Paraguay seek closer trade and tourism ties

LIMA – Aruba Prime Minister Mike Eman met with Paraguayan President Santiago Peña during his official visit to Peru, where both leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations.

The talks focused on improving air connectivity, expanding tourism and increasing trade opportunities. Paraguay sees Aruba as a potential gateway for exporting products, including beef and other food items, to the Caribbean, while Aruba views Paraguay as a promising tourism market.

Peña also invited Aruba to explore closer ties with MERCOSUR, South America's economic bloc, which could create new opportunities for trade and investment. The leaders also highlighted Aruba's recent designation as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve as another area for future cooperation and sustainable development.
