84-year-old woman becomes Aruba's ninth traffic fatality of 2026

ORANJESTAD – An 84-year-old woman has died following a traffic accident in Seroe Blanco, becoming Aruba's ninth road fatality of 2026.

The crash occurred on Sunday at around 4:30 p.m. when a white Ford Fusion struck a pillar at a residence. Police and ambulance personnel responded to the scene, where the driver received emergency medical treatment before being transported to hospital.

On Monday morning, Traffic Police confirmed that the victim, Olga Denise Lampe, born in Aruba on April 10, 1942, died from the injuries she sustained in the crash.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation. The Aruba Police Force extended its condolences to the victim's family.
