ORANJESTAD – Aruba's Tax Department has announced that the 2025 income tax return will be filed entirely online through the BO impuesto (BOi) portal. As a result, taxpayers will no longer receive the familiar orange envelope containing the tax return form in their mailbox.
The digital tax return is expected to become available in November 2026, although the official release date has not yet been confirmed. The Tax Department will announce the exact date once it has been finalized.
Taxpayers will complete and submit their returns online, upload all required supporting documents and receive an automatic confirmation of the filing date through the BOi portal.
Every taxpayer must have a personal BOi account to access the system, including married couples, who must each maintain their own account. Those who want an accountant or another representative to file on their behalf must first authorize that person through the BOi portal.
The Tax Department is encouraging taxpayers to begin gathering and digitizing all required documents, including income statements, pension information, bank interest statements, donation receipts, education expenses and, for sole proprietors, their 2025 financial statements.
