AMSTERDAM — For the third time this week, multiple bomb threats have targeted flights across Europe. A KLM flight from Prague to Amsterdam landed at Schiphol Airport, where authorities searched the aircraft but found no explosives, according to the Royal Netherlands Marechaussee.
The latest threats involved flights connecting Portugal, Bulgaria, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Denmark and France. At least nine flights involving Prague were affected, while authorities in Copenhagen and Bulgaria investigated similar threats.
In Dublin, the headquarters of public broadcaster RTE was evacuated following a bomb threat, forcing live broadcasts to be cancelled.
Previous threats this week proved to be hoaxes. Authorities have not identified those responsible. The incidents coincide with cyberattacks disrupting services across Europe, although no direct connection has been established.
