ORANJESTAD — Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort on Eagle Beach has won the Best Service award for North America (United States and Caribbean) at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2027, an international recognition in the luxury hospitality industry.
Resort founder and owner Ewald Biemans personally accepted the award during a ceremony held in London, England, on November 2, 2026.
The award is determined through guest feedback, online voting and evaluations by experienced international hospitality professionals.
"We are deeply honored to receive this recognition. This award is a tribute to our extraordinary team," Biemans said, emphasizing the dedication of employees and the personalized experiences offered to guests.
Known as a luxury adults-only romantic retreat, Bucuti & Tara continues investing in room renovations, culinary experiences and wellness under the leadership of general manager Crescenzia Biemans, the founder's granddaughter.
Recent developments include the introduction of Terra by Jeremy Ford restaurant and an expanded wellness program featuring yoga, meditation and fitness activities.
The resort, which became the Caribbean's first CarbonNeutral-certified resort in 2018, has also received numerous international distinctions, including awards from Tripadvisor, Condé Nast Traveler and Travel + Leisure.
The latest recognition once again places Aruba in the international spotlight as a destination for luxury tourism and high-quality hospitality.
