AMSTERDAM — Travel company Corendon is restructuring its business into three independent divisions: its tour operator, Corendon Dutch Airlines and its hotel operations. The move is intended to give each division greater commercial and operational flexibility.
According to information published by NU.cw, the separation will allow Corendon's tour operator to purchase airline tickets from other carriers, while Corendon Dutch Airlines will be able to sell seats to external travel companies.
Gunay Uslu, who is stepping down as Corendon's CEO after nearly three years, will remain temporarily as head of the tour operator until a successor is appointed.
"We want to be agile and not simply wait and see," Uslu told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf. Each of the three divisions will have its own management team.
During the transition, Uslu will focus on long-term strategy, cooperation between the divisions and developing new travel products.
Corendon spokesperson Jules van der Ven said the restructuring will not affect travelers. The separation is expected to be completed around April 1, 2027.
