MAHO — Representatives from Aruba and five other Dutch Caribbean islands are participating in the fourth annual Integrity Summit Dutch Caribbean, taking place in Sint Maarten through Friday, November 6.

Hosted by Sint Maarten's Integrity Chamber, the summit brings together 23 organizations to exchange expertise on transparency, oversight and integrity within public institutions.

Under the theme Building Stronger Organisations, participants are focusing on improving institutional rules, procedures and accountability mechanisms to strengthen ethical governance.

The summit was opened by Sint Maarten Prime Minister Luc Mercelina, Governor Ajamu Baly and Integrity Chamber Chairman Rik Bergman.

Keynote speaker Anande Tropman-Joseph emphasized that effective leadership and continuous knowledge-sharing are essential for strengthening institutional oversight.

Supported by the Dutch Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations (BZK), the summit aims to improve cooperation among the six islands and promote stronger, more accountable public institutions.
