ORANJESTAD — Aruba residents who need legal assistance but cannot afford a lawyer can seek advice through Tienda di Ley, a service provided by the University of Aruba.

The program, which resumed on October 3, offers assistance with employment disputes, rental problems, divorce, immigration, contracts, compensation claims and payment arrangements.

During consultations, two law students assess each case under professional supervision before providing legal advice. The service does not represent clients in court. Complex cases are referred to appropriate organizations.

The next consultation date is Saturday, October 31, followed by November 28 and December 12. The program continues until May 15, 2027.

Consultations take place at the University of Aruba by appointment only.
