Aruba Police renews fleet with 16 new vehicles
ORANJESTAD — The Aruba Police Force (KPA) will add 16 new Toyota vehicles to its operational fleet. The police force recently received the keys to the first batch, which will soon be visible on Aruba’s roads.
The acquisition includes Land Cruiser, Hilux, Hiace and Fortuner models. The pickup trucks are intended for community police officers, while the E.J. Watty Vos Police Academy will receive a van. The Forensic Department will receive a Fortuner, and each police district will once again have its own Land Cruiser for police transport.
According to KPA, the modern vehicles are suited to reaching different parts of Aruba. The police transport vehicles will also receive an updated, more visible design.
KPA thanked CEA for its support with detainee transportation and Toyota Aruba for supplying the new vehicles. The fleet renewal is intended to improve working conditions for police officers and strengthen safety and service to the community.
