Curaçao man killed in Roermond shooting

ROERMOND — A man was killed in a shooting in a residential neighborhood in Roermond, the Netherlands. According to Curaçao newspaper Vigilante, the victim was from Curaçao.
The shooting took place shortly before 10 p.m. on Terbaansweg. Several residents called the emergency services after hearing multiple gunshots.
A trauma helicopter was dispatched and emergency workers attempted to resuscitate the victim, but he died at the scene. Police are still searching for the shooter or shooters.
A forensic team is examining the scene. Police are collecting footage from security and doorbell cameras in the area and interviewing potential witnesses. Part of the street was closed for the investigation.
