Six more airlines interested in routes between Aruba and Venezuela

ORANJESTAD — Interest in direct air connections between Aruba and Venezuela is growing, with the commercial and tourism sector in Venezuela’s Falcón state expecting as many as six additional airlines to gradually join the route between Paraguaná and Aruba following its official reopening.

According to Juan Gotopo, vice president of the La Vela de Coro Chamber of Commerce and Tourism, several airlines have already expressed interest in operating between Aruba and Venezuela.

In addition to Aeroparaguana, the airlines named are La Venezolana, Laser, Turpial, Divi Divi, S-Air and Aruba Airlines.

Gotopo said the direct Aruba connection offers residents of Falcón an important alternative to traveling through Maiquetía or Colombia.

Aruba’s Queen Beatrix International Airport also provides extensive onward connections to North America, Central America, South America and Europe, making the Aruba–Venezuela route more attractive to travelers.

The sector expects additional airlines and frequencies between Aruba and Venezuela to strengthen trade and tourism between both countries and help position Paraguaná as a strategic Caribbean aviation hub.
