Aruba tax revenues rise by about 8 percent in July
ORANJESTAD — Aruba collected more than 136 million florins in tax revenue in July 2026, compared with about 126 million florins in the same month last year, an increase of roughly 8 percent.
The strongest growth came from property-related taxes, which rose from about 12 million to nearly 19 million florins. Revenue from land tax and property transfer tax increased particularly sharply.
BBO and BAVP revenues also rose, from about 36 million to more than 39 million florins. Hotel room tax and foreign exchange tax also increased, while import duties remained broadly stable.
Gasoline excise revenue, however, fell significantly, from more than 5 million florins to around 3 million. The decline is largely linked to the temporary reduction in fuel excise introduced earlier this year.
Total government revenue was nearly 140 million florins, but the figure is not fully comparable with July 2025 because some non-tax revenue was not included in the 2026 data. Monthly tax revenues can also vary considerably.
