Missing man on Curacao found dead near rocks at Spaanse Water

WILLEMSTAD — Police in Curaçao are investigating the death of a man who was found lifeless near the rocks at Spaanse Water overnight.
Relatives had raised the alarm after the man went missing. Police and the Coast Guard launched a search and later located his body.
The body has been taken for further examination as investigators work to determine how the man entered the water and the exact cause of death.
According to local newspaper Èxtra, the man may have been a tourist staying in the Spaanse Water area who had gone ashore in a small boat. Police have not yet officially confirmed those additional details.
The investigation is ongoing, and it remains unclear whether the death was accidental.
