Duane Davis convicted of 2Pac murder

LAS VEGAS - A Las Vegas jury has convicted former gang member Duane “Keffe D” Davis of the 1996 murder of rapper Tupac Shakur.
Prosecutors argued that Davis did not have to be the gunman himself, but that he organized and planned the killing. The case gained momentum after Davis publicly discussed his role in interviews and in his memoir, where he described how the group searched for 2Pac following a fight.
His lawyers argued that the account was exaggerated to help sell the book, but the jury reached a guilty verdict after about three hours of deliberation.
Davis, 63, has announced plans to appeal. He is scheduled to be sentenced on October 13 and could face life in prison.
