ORANJESTAD – Health Minister Melvin Wyatt-Ras and Fundacion ABO held their first formal meeting to strengthen cooperation on national cancer screening and early detection in Aruba.

ABO presented its 2025 annual accounts and updated the minister on its expansion from the BOB breast cancer program into an organization responsible for three national screening programs: BOB for breast cancer, BOCA for cervical cancer and CORESA for colorectal cancer.

The meeting also focused on secure data exchange and cooperation with DVG, HOH, LabHOH, HAVA and AZV, considered essential for improving follow-up from screening through diagnosis and treatment.

Both parties stressed the importance of stronger cooperation to improve quality, access and early cancer detection in Aruba.
