Gerlien Croes: Education shapes Aruba’s future as 2026-2027 school year begins

ORANJESTAD – With the start of the 2026-2027 school year, Education Minister Gerlien Croes has wished students, teachers, school staff and parents across Aruba a successful new academic year.
Croes said a new school year brings opportunities to learn, grow and overcome challenges. She encouraged students to begin with curiosity, discipline and perseverance, while stressing the important role educators play in shaping future generations.
The minister also emphasized the importance of family support and cooperation between home and school for the well-being and success of children and young people.
According to Croes, education is a key pillar for Aruba’s future and progress.
