ORANJESTAD – Interested companies have until Tuesday, August 18 at 10:00 a.m. to submit bids for four service contracts at Aruba’s Department of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, DLVV Santa Rosa.

According to the Ministry of Finance, Economic Affairs and the Primary Sector, the contracts are intended to increase Santa Rosa’s operational capacity, both for maintaining its facilities and for providing services to local farmers and livestock producers.

The tender covers four areas: maintenance and infrastructure, animal care, heavy-equipment and agricultural support, and crop cultivation and agricultural production. Companies may bid on one, several or all four contracts, depending on their expertise and capacity.

The contracts will run for 36 months. Selected contractors may carry out work at Santa Rosa itself as well as support services provided to local producers, including land preparation, water transportation, maintenance of livestock facilities and the use of heavy equipment.

Minister Geoffrey Wever has issued a final call for qualified companies with the necessary personnel, equipment and experience to submit their offers before the deadline.

Some of the services Santa Rosa provides to farmers and livestock producers are government-subsidized, allowing local producers to access them at a lower cost.
