Aruba defeats Czech Republic to advance at Intermediate World Series

LIVERMORE, CALIFORNIA – Aruba continued its impressive run at the Intermediate (50/70) Little League World Series, defeating the Czech Republic 9-5 to move on to the next stage of the tournament. The Latin America champions took control early and never surrendered the lead.

Aruba scored three runs in the opening inning before extending its advantage in the third and fourth. Ryand Filiciana highlighted the offense with a two-run home run, while Cayden Fraser tripled and Isaac Arendsz drove in another run with a double.

The Czech Republic closed the gap with two runs in the sixth inning, but Aruba answered immediately with two more runs in the bottom half, fueled by a key hit from Emerson Mercado Sarmiento.

Aruba's pitching staff kept the opposition under control for most of the game, and Zion Gomez Perez finished the contest by recording two consecutive strikeouts in the seventh inning.

The victory keeps Aruba firmly in contention as the team continues its quest for the Intermediate Little League World Series championship.
