Aruba knocks out Canada, advances in Intermediate Little League

LIVERMORE, California - Aruba delivered a dominant performance against Canada in the Little League Intermediate (50/70) tournament, building a commanding 10-0 lead through five innings to secure its place in the next round.

Pitcher Jerson Geerman was one of the game's standout performers. He opened the contest by striking out three Canadian batters in the first inning and kept Canada's offense under control throughout his outing. In the fifth inning, reliever Emerson Mercado Sarmiento took over and struck out all three batters he faced to end the inning.

Offensively, Aruba scored three runs in the first inning and never looked back. The team extended its advantage to 8-0 in the third inning before adding two more runs in the fourth to reach 10-0.

Jeandré Geerman also contributed offensively. In his second-inning at-bat, he grounded into a double play, but a Canadian defensive error allowed Zion Gomez Perez to score. Later, Jerson Geerman reached base on a walk and scored during the fourth inning as Aruba continued to capitalize on Canadian mistakes.

Canada was held scoreless, while Aruba's pitchers combined to record numerous strikeouts and kept the Canadian lineup in check throughout the game.
