ORANJESTAD – The Government of Aruba honored Red Cross Aruba volunteers, the Crisis Management Office and other organizations that took part in the humanitarian mission to Venezuela following the devastating earthquake. During a meeting with State Secretary Eric van der Burg and Prime Minister Mike Eman, officials expressed their gratitude for the team's courage, dedication and humanitarian service.

Volunteers shared their experiences working alongside the Venezuelan Red Cross and the Dutch USAR team under difficult conditions. They described the emotional impact of helping survivors who had lost family members and their homes.

Both Van der Burg and Eman praised Aruba's rapid response, saying it demonstrated the strength of cooperation within the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Aruba's longstanding ties with Venezuela.
