DALLAS – FIFA World Cup favorites France and Spain will face off in one of the tournament's most anticipated semifinal matches. Both teams have lived up to expectations and are now just one win away from reaching the final.

Spain has impressed with its possession-based style, technical quality and outstanding defense, conceding only one goal throughout the tournament. However, La Roja now faces its toughest challenge against France's dynamic attacking lineup.

France, the 2018 world champion and 2022 runner-up, is aiming for a third consecutive World Cup final. Les Bleus comfortably defeated Morocco 2-0 in the quarterfinals, while Spain edged past Belgium thanks to a decisive goal from Mikel Merino after a mistake by goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

Spain has won its last two meetings with France, including a 2-1 victory in the Euro 2024 semifinals. France, however, is eager to reclaim its place as Europe's leading football power and book another place in the World Cup final.
