TUI to launch Düsseldorf–Curaçao flights twice a week

DÜSSELDORF - TUI will begin flying between Düsseldorf and Curaçao next summer, with two weekly services on Mondays and Fridays. The route will be operated with a Boeing 787 Dreamliner from TUI Netherlands.

The connection is aimed mainly at the German market, although TUI also expects interest from Dutch travelers. Both package holiday customers and passengers booking flight-only tickets will be able to use the service.

Ticket sales are expected to begin in October. TUI had previously planned to operate the route but dropped those plans during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The move puts TUI in direct competition with Corendon, which will already start flying between Düsseldorf and Curaçao this coming winter. Corendon has said there is strong interest in the route, especially from the Netherlands.

TUI is also expanding its network from Germany with several additional European destinations, while from Amsterdam it will launch twice-weekly flights to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania.
