IDEA workshop helps entrepreneurs manage finances and employee insurance

ORANJESTAD — Current and aspiring entrepreneurs in Aruba can strengthen their knowledge of financial management and employee insurance during IDEA’s “Ready to Grow” workshop on Tuesday, September 29, from 9 a.m. to noon at Cas Veneranda.

The event is the first workshop in Phase 3 of DEZHI’s Masterclass Entrepreneurship program, themed “Manage Your Business.” It aims to help participants make better-informed financial decisions and understand their responsibilities as employers.

Edward Erasmus of Erasmus Consulting & Training will cover financial management, while Cristian Garcia of SVb will explain what employers need to know about employee insurance. The program also includes time for questions and discussion.

Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and the Primary Sector Geoffrey Wever emphasized that a good idea alone is not enough to build a sustainable business. He said investing in entrepreneurs’ knowledge contributes to a stronger private sector and more sustainable employment.
