PPA renovates San Nicolas headquarters as it seeks political revival

SAN NICOLAS — The Centro Patriotico Arubano (PPA) has officially begun renovating its headquarters in San Nicolas as part of an effort to revitalize the party and strengthen its presence in the district.

Party members and supporters started work on the building over the weekend, with plans to turn it into a community meeting point and a space for political and social activities.

Founded in 1949, PPA is one of Aruba’s oldest active political parties and points to its historical role in the island’s economic and social development, particularly in San Nicolas.

According to the party, the renovation is part of a broader attempt to rebuild PPA as a political alternative focused on community participation, social welfare and renewed attention for the development of San Nicolas.

The party says the physical restoration of the center is only the first step in a wider process of reorganization and revival.
