Diesel and kerosene rise sharply as gasoline barely changes
ORANJESTAD — Starting September 9, 2026, diesel and kerosene prices in Aruba will rise significantly, while gasoline will see only a marginal increase.
Unleaded premium gasoline will increase by 0.9 cents, from Afl. 2.909 to Afl. 2.918 per liter. Diesel ULS, however, will jump by 23.7 cents, from Afl. 2.863 to Afl. 3.100 per liter, while kerosene will rise by 19.0 cents to Afl. 2.756 per liter.
The new diesel increase is particularly notable. In August, diesel had already risen by 29.7 cents, while gasoline increased by 25.1 cents. With the September adjustment, diesel has climbed by a combined 53.4 cents per liter in just two months, from about Afl. 2.566 in July to Afl. 3.100 now.
Gasoline shows a different pattern. After the sharp 25.1-cent increase in August, the September price is virtually unchanged, rising by only another 0.9 cents.
The new prices, announced by the Minister of Finance, Economic Affairs and the Primary Sector, include BBO, BAZV and BAVP and take effect on September 9.
