ORANJESTAD – AZV is closely monitoring its insured members in Colombia following the powerful earthquake that struck the country. Around 238 AZV-insured patients and companions are currently in Colombia.
AZV says it is in close contact with its partners in Colombia to monitor their situation and coordinate assistance where necessary.
Several people were initially evacuated from buildings as a precaution following the earthquake. According to information received by AZV, people have since been allowed to return to buildings in a number of locations.
Any insured patient or companion requiring assistance can report this to the International Office of the hospital concerned, allowing AZV to coordinate the necessary support.
