Mike Eman meets Peru's President-elect Keiko Fujimori to strengthen ties with Aruba
LIMA, Peru – Aruba Prime Minister Mike Eman met with Peru's President-elect Keiko Fujimori ahead of her inauguration to discuss strengthening relations between Aruba, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Peru.
The meeting focused on expanding cooperation in tourism, agriculture, water management, security and economic development. Eman said Aruba can play an important role as a bridge between Peru and the Kingdom because of its strategic location in the Caribbean.
The discussions also highlighted the Peruvian community in Aruba and the continued growth of tourism from Peru. According to the Aruba Tourism Authority (ATA), more than 10,000 Peruvian visitors travelled to Aruba during the first six months of 2026, with additional direct flights from Lima expected later this year.
Dutch Ambassador Alexander Kofman said Eman's participation underscored the Kingdom's commitment to strengthening ties with both the Caribbean and Latin America.
