Former Casino Affairs building to become new Human Resources office

ORANJESTAD – The former Department of Casino Affairs (DAC) building is set to serve a new purpose. Following an extensive renovation, the facility will become the new office of the Department of Human Resources (DRH), which will use the building to carry out specific tasks under the Temporary Work Organization (TWO) in support of the public service.

Minister of Justice, Integration and Public Transport Arthur Dowers recently inspected the renovation work, which is now in its final phase. According to the minister, the building had fallen into poor condition and required major structural repairs and maintenance.

The project included infrastructure upgrades and the correction of long-standing defects, creating a safe, modern, and functional workplace. Office furniture will be installed next, after which DRH will move into the building.

Dowers said he was pleased with the progress and reaffirmed the government's commitment to improving public infrastructure to provide better working conditions and more efficient public services.
