CBS: Aruba's annual inflation rises to 2.4% in June
ORANJESTAD – Aruba's Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.1% in June 2026, while annual inflation reached 2.4%, according to the latest figures released by the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS).
The biggest contributors to the monthly increase were furnishings, transport, and miscellaneous goods and services. Meanwhile, the communications sector declined by 3.8%, mainly due to a sharp drop in telephone and fax equipment prices.
Core inflation, which excludes food and energy, stood at 0.8%. The energy index fell by 1.4%, while the food index increased by 1.5%.
The minimum cost of living for a family of two adults and two children edged down slightly to Afl. 5,639, while the amount for a single adult was Afl. 2,685. Despite the monthly decline, the annual cost of living for a typical family remains Afl. 130 higher than a year ago.
