ORANJESTAD – Aruba has recorded the fastest workforce growth among all locations where the Dutch Government (Rijksoverheid) employs staff, according to new data published by Revelio Labs.

The report shows that Rijksoverheid employed approximately 1,781 people worldwide as of March 2026, representing a 33.7% increase since 2023. Nearly 98% of employees are based in the Netherlands.

Although Aruba has only four employees in the dataset, the island posted a 100% year-over-year increase, making it the fastest-growing location within Rijksoverheid's global workforce.

The Dutch Government is still recruiting, with 206 active job openings in 2026. However, hiring activity has slowed significantly compared with previous years.

Most employees work in Finance and Operations, followed by Engineering and Sales & Marketing. Revelio Labs also reports that employee sentiment remains positive and improved during 2026.

For Aruba, the figures point to a growing presence of Dutch Government personnel, despite the relatively small overall workforce.
