ORANJESTAD – The Wever Croes cabinet had a troublesome first week in office, says prime minister Evelyn Wever Croes in a statement. “We spend our first week in daily meeting to attend the chaotic situation the past cabinet left behind”. The ministers of the previous cabinet dispute the accusations. At least 3 ministers stated in publicized statements that an orderly transition took place, and that ‘all was left in an orderly fashion’, thereby contradicting the prime minister’s statement. Amongst those ministers were past education minister Michelle Hooyboer and economics minister Richard Arends. Wever insists things are not as they seem. “Transition of the previous government to the new government was pretty chaotic, which made it hard to start work (during the first week), citing disconnected computers, missing documents”. Arends in a statement said that he begs to differ and that all was left neatly, and that they would confirm that too, clearly contradicting the prime ministers.
