ABA: Local banks have alternative banking methods replacing banking checks

ORANJESTAD – All Aruban banks will have an alternative method in place, which will replace the usage of bank checks. This was confirmed Sunday by the Aruba Bankers Association through a press statement. As previously announced, Aruban banks will no longer accept banking checks by the end of this year. Personal checks will no longer be accepted as of May 1st, 2018, whilst comercial checks will cease to exist November 1st, 2018. Each bank has alternatives to bank checks, for which you can check with your preferred bank for more details.
