ORANJESTAD – A judge Thursday ordered the Aruba government to pay Aruba Villas NV AFL 270.288,= in overdue rent for the new DTI building (where motor vehicles are inspected), and continue paying rent by the 1st of each month, or face possible account seizure. All this whilst another court case must debate the validity of the original rent contract signed in September of 2017. Attorney for the plaintiff, Ronny Wix considers this a win for his client, in his first reaction to NoticiaCla.

PAYMENT RECEIVED

It became known during the Thursday courtcase that the government had transferred funds (3 months) to the respective company, and promised continued payment. “So if payment is not an issue, why are we here?” the judge asked the government attorneys. He then handed out the sentence and summoned parties for the bigger case where the contract validity will be discussed.
